To live our life with intention we must deeply connect to our 'why' and truly prioritize our daily habits that support our well-being, have clarity in our values, living a life in harmony and ease. When our nervous system is regulated, we are embodied physically and energetically, we align to a grounded ease and our intuition and creativity is more easily accessible.

WHAT TO EXPECT: 

During the day we will take time to tune into our inner wisdom through visual meditation, somatic breathwork, art therapy and a 'Life By Design' workshop.

When we take time out for skillful rest and allow ourselves to slow down our nervous system becomes regulated, embodied physically and energetically. When we are grounded in ease, trust and connection with ourselves we can more easily access our inner wisdom, intuition and potent creativity.

When was the last time you did something or made something 'just for fun?' We often find ourselves always 'doing' for a specific outcome or pleasing for an audience to get a positive result. The creative process needs space to think freely, joy in the evolution, self-exploration, deep understanding, curiosity, contemplation, and deep active listening.

Afternoon Integration & Invitation: After our time together, please make sure to give yourself time to integrate the experience.  Spend the late afternoon at the Sweetgrass Spa to support the creative integration and support your nervous system during the Holiday season. Consider booking an evening hotel for a staycation - you will feel so nourished, grounded and rested with this extra add on after such a beautiful inspiring day.

With an eclectic blend of talents and an unwavering passion for fostering growth and creativity, Nikki Leigh McKean is a highly-sought after expert in the realms of coaching, leadership development, and visual storytelling. Her journey as a 2x cancer survivor is a testament to the power of having a creative mindset to overcome adversity, seamlessly merging her expertise as a visionary meditation & yoga teacher, coach, commercial photographer, restaurateur, and entrepreneur. 

Nikki focuses on a holistic mind/body/spirit approach to her creative mindset coaching.  She believes in a balanced mix of performance and developmental coaching where we can both take accountability for taking action and achieving goals and have a deep sense of balance and focus on the development of your "Being" through daily ritual practices.

WHAT IS YOGA NIDRA?

Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation”. Yoga nidra or yogic sleep is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the "going-to-sleep" stage, typically induced by a guided meditation.


iRest® Yoga Nidra is a profound, yet accessible, meditation practice that systematically combines deep relaxation, affirmation, breathing, mindfulness, visualization and self-inquiry to facilitate the integration of body, mind, and spirit. It is guided meditation that is easy to follow and accessible to everyone who is open in finding a deeper connection to true health, healing, and peace of mind.I like to refer to yoga nidra as yoga napping that allows for deep relaxation to deepen your meditation practice.

During Cancer treatment I remember feeling an immense amount of peace and expansion during what most would have assumed to be ‘the most traumatic’ experience of their lives.At the time I didn’t really understand this true peace and creativity flowing through my body but I learned quickly to surrender to it and love my whole self for being alive and welcomed all and any sensations present.It was after treatment that I needed 'iRest' the most - not 'get back to life' so to speak.Truly surrender. Something that became so natural during treatment had quickly drifted away and I didn’t know how to get back to the peaceful bits… the little nuggets of joy and I was craving deep connection and most of all sleep and relaxation.

Yoga Nidra Meditation has given me the tools to understand that during this time I was in ‘awareness’ and the state of ‘pure being’ accepting ‘what is’ and welcoming all that is present with no expectations of changing or fixing anything, just acknowledging that my mind was telling me “I want to live” when in fact “I am alive”.Cancer really taught me to live life day by day and to truly feel emotions as they appear and welcome them in.iRest teaches you to go a step further by welcoming what is present and maybe even ‘inviting them in for tea’.Imagine anger or frustration was present... now imagine welcoming anger or frustration in for a tea party?!Regular practice of iRest, ‘a little and often’ enables you to feel a bit softer, lighter in your day… maybe soften the sharp edges of the ‘daily grind’.
