Located in one of Nikki's favourite healing places on earth, Nosara, Costa Rica, where her family has called home away from home for the past 7 winters. ​ Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort is located in the town of Nosara, which is located in the beautiful province of Guanacaste in the Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica. Nicoya is considered one of the Blue Zones areas where cultures have evolved to prolong the longevity of human life. The life expectancy of Nicoya residents easily surpass 100 years of age with a population far older than the rest of the country.

Part of the commitments to joining the Retreat is to fly into Nosara 1-2days early to get settled into the town of Nosara. During the time of Retreat we encourage guests to really take the time to REST & NOURISH themselves. There are many beautiful hotels and surrounding accommodations to choose from to help your integration into the retreat. The retreat will begin on the Saturday @ 4:00pm (check-in starts at 2:00pm) & end of the retreat is on the following Saturday @ 9am.

Located on the northwestern part of Costa Rica, just south of the Nicaraguan border, the Nicoya Peninsula (about 80 miles long and 30 miles wide) is a land of pristine beaches, upscale resorts, woody hills, cattle ranches and cow pastures. ​DAILY MEALS
Secluded within the natural ambiance of the jungle, Bodhi Tree Yoga resort uses natural, fresh ingredients to promote a healthy lifestyle. They offer an array of hot and refreshing cold soups, an excellent buffet of veggies and salads, organic chicken, fish and vegan options. Three delicious meals are served a day using organic and local ingredients whenever possible. Bodhi Tree can also accommodate vegan and gluten free requests.
​GETTING HERE
We recommend flying into Liberia (LIR), which has been recently expanded with increased numbers of flights from the US and Canada. Liberia has become a destination of many non-stop flights from several US cities (Chicago, New York, Miami, Atlanta, Denver, and Houston). From Liberia Airport it is approximately a 2+ hour scenic drive to Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort in Nosara, Costa Rica.

We will help organize a shuttle service for you from Liberia to Nosara once you have confirmed your flight information.

Retreats groups range between 12 to 20 travellers but it changes from trip to trip.

During the retreat you will be invited to practice daily silence (don't worry there will be plenty of time to chat!) and unplug from the outside world. I cannot tell you how nourishing and life changing this practice can be.​I invite you all to set your 'Unplug' Intention before the retreat begins. If you live with others (spouse, kids, etc.), ensure you have a conversation before you leave for your retreat with them about why this retreat is important for you and that you are planning on disconnecting for the week. Creating clear conversations with our loved ones helps integrate our experience and supports our expectations.

Nikki Leigh McKean — also known as Nikki Magic — is a creative visionary, storyteller, and space holder devoted to helping others awaken their highest potential. A two-time cancer survivor, Nikki embodies the power of creativity as a path to healing and transformation. Blending her experience as a meditation and yoga teacher, coach, photographer, and entrepreneur, she guides others to live in alignment with their deepest passions, values, and presence.
Maria Dorado is an intuitive healer and Reiki practitioner. Through the art of energetic restoration and embodied healing she guides others to reconnect with their body's wisdom, self-trust and inner harmony supporting deep release and renewal.

In order for us to completely have the opportunity to nourish our mind/body and tune into our magical intuitive self we must first provide the space and then allow for to fully 'unplug' and get quiet. Practicing silence allows us to get grounded, when too many things around us are moving constantly. This is not always an easy practice but it is one that I promise you will allow your to understand how we numb ourselves with the daily noise/distraction that keeps us busy and away from our most true magical self. When we allow to get quiet and nourish our mind/body the creative being arrives and we tune into the present moment.

Loud noises over 30 decibels increase high anxiety, stress and blood pressure. Silence lowers blood pressure and allows us to deal with life’s challenges in a better way and helps boost our immune system lowering blood cortisol and adrenaline levels. Silence recharges our mind and allows us to get out of our survival and reactive mode of living and thinking. While sleep reboots the mind, silence recharges it and helps to calm the emotions down, detaching from the situation and make more informed decisions. When we allow the opportunity daily to disable our speech and our daily distractions to have an we begin to get a glimpse of our magic, heart centre listening and unveil our deepest dreams and ambitions - it's like revealing the sun behind the clouds. Calming our mind removes the thoughts (clouds), and the spirit; our Higher Self can then shine through.

These private sessions offer an intimate opportunity to work with Nikki 1:1 and dive intimately with your specific needs with a mix of creative mindset and healing intuitive embodiment sessions - Active Listening, Reiki healing and Co-Dyad Meditations to truly tune-in to your body, mind and spirit. The live in-person offerings are extremely powerful and create a safe space for deep, loving healing experiences. Scheduled day & time will be provided upon booking.
